If you are not joining the sale, you are still invited to come and shop on a real "bagsak presyo." Don't miss it! On the same day, there will be an assembly of Theresian Parents for the card-giving and talk by Alumnus Glenn Garces September will again be another very busy month in preparation for the Academy Days in October, the feast of our Patroness, ST. August 2009 School Activities

The school's calendar in August was fall not only in matters of academics but also in curricular and spiritual activities. The Grades 4 and 6 were scheduled for a recollection at the Marian Missionaries Seminary from 8a.m.-4 p.m. on separate dates, facilitators of whom, were the seminarians.

The feast of BLESSED BONIFACIA, SSJ Foundress on August 8, was preceded with a triduum held in her honor. Mass for the occasion was celebrated on August 7, the 8 falling on a Saturday with Fr. Julius Espinosa as presider. This was followed by the First Periodical Exams. August 19 saw everybody in Filipiniana attire for the Buwan ng Wika which had for its theme, "Wikang Filipino : Mula Baler Hanggang sa Buong Mundo.".This occasion brought us back to our roots and our cultural heritage. Well-organized by the Filipino Department, we certainly enjoyed viewing the presentations of the dance clubs under dance instructors, Rene H. Hofilena, Aubren Solano and Pamela Sarciban. Indeed, our Filipino dances are incomparable! The audience likewise enjoyed listening to the Balagtasan which presented the present realities in our country, delivered by 3 students from the different levels in the high school. We can really proudly say, "AKO AY FILIPINO."

For this month, we had 2 holidays to honor 2 more of our National Heroes- August 10 for Cory Aquino and 21, for Ninoy Aquino. By the way, we have 2 additional enrolees who came from L.A. mis month, which gives us a total of 719 enrolees at the moment. August 29 marked the fund-raising Garage Sale at the STA Compound, sponsored by the Alumni Association, hi case you haven't done it yet, the association is reminding you to remit your Php 100.00 minimal alumni fee.

July 2009 School Actitivities

Recollection by sections started in the month of July initiated by the Fourth Year-Nazareth. Venue was the beautiful place of the CICM Fathers, a former seminary in Talisay which they converted into a retreat-seminar house overlooking the sea and where one can enjoy strolling and watching the sunrise and sunset, as well as, enjoy the stillness of the place. Here, food is always served to one's content You leave the place happy and filled, not only with material food but with the spiritual, as well. The Seniors were in high spirits that they are asking for another one before the culmination of the school year.

In connection with the Annual Nutrition Month Celebration the TLE Culminating Activity was held on the 24th of July with the theme adapted to that of the DepEd namely, "Wastong Nutrisyon Kailangan, Lifestyle Diseases Iwasan". The days prior to the activity, a "Healthy Exercise" on the Tuesday and Thursday morning assemblies was performed by all, led by the P.E. teachers. Information on the various Lifestyle Diseases and Healthy Tips were posted on strategic areas in the school campus.

Posters and slogans (students' projects) alike, were visible around On the day itself, the primary, elementary and secondary levels prepared food using organic ingredients. The primary and intermediate levels had the Milk Drinking Contest and the Nutritive Fear Factor for games. It was a half day celebration for classes in all levels resumed in the afternoon.

One of the most awaited event is always the School Intramurals held last7 July 29-31 ' which started with the raising of the STA Banner and the different level flags, after which the formal declaration of the opening of Intramurals 2009-2010 was done. Obviously, everybody, including the parents enjoyed every minute of the different exciting events, as swimming, ball games, tug of war, marathon, cheering, chess, badminton, etc. Definitely, everyone was tired but contented with the 3 days happenings.

The SY 2009-2010

Hi, there! The school year 2009-2010 in St Theresita's Academy opened on June 3,2009 with 717 enrolees. We are happy to inform you that we have 3 sections each for the Grades I, 2 and 3 in the Primary level and the First Year in High School and 2 sections each for the rest of the levels. As expected, everybody came in very early. There was no record of tardiness nor absences for die first 8 days! The start of school was greeted with new faces not only among students but also among members of the Faculty.

We opened the schoolyear with a MASS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT presided by Fr. Norbert from the Marian Missionaries in Silay. This was immediately followed by the Students' Acquaintance Party. The next day we had the PARENTS' GENERAL ASSEMBLY at the St. Joseph Court (this is how we named the STA Covered Court starting this school year), wherein important matters were taken up and discussed to Theresian Parents. You should have been around to witness the overwhelming presence and support of our parents. Hephep, hurray!

The final activity for the month of June was the Acquaintance Party of the Faculty and Staff at La Rosa Beach Resort in Saravia, Neg. Occ., where they enjoyed the seafoods facilitated by guardians of our pupils.
